Gigi’s Cupcakes was so blessed to open a store in Jonesboro, AK just a few weeks ago. It was one of the most fun openings I had ever participated in. Everyone was so excited and happy; there were lines out the door with patrons ready to experience all of our unique desserts. It’s our first store opening that has the new Gigi’s layout and look to include video screens, farm tables and distinct bakery cases. We are really growing up these days. I have never been more excited about the future of Gigi’s Cupcakes and the many exciting things coming in 2015. We aren’t just cupcakes any more. We are a sweet southern bake shop offering cheesecakes, cookies, pies, custom-made cakes, specialty coffee and yummy bread loaves. Even though it was packed and crazy at the opening, we worked as an amazing team to serve our customers and deliver the best product you can find.
The Gigi’s home office team has been working so hard and it was so apparent on this opening. I am so proud of everyone on the team. We have several more stores opening in 2015! I can’t wait.
The highlight of this trip was when I met two little girls who had waited in the long line. They had taken some time to draw the most adorable pictures of Gigi’s Cupcakes in Hawaii. They were works of art to me; so special. I had them framed. Maybe one day we will be in Hawaii, you just never know. Life is a blue ocean and God is good!
